Hello, I've been an avid Nature explorer my entire life. As a child, my first exposure to the outdoors came when I moved from Brooklyn, NY to a rural Pennsylvania farm. When I was ten years old, I joined a 4-H club and our first project involved finding wildflowers, identifying them, pressing them, and then assembling the flowers into a notebook. The culmination of this work included an entry into the county 4-H fair, and I received a blue ribbon award for my project. This endeavor soldified my passion for being in Nature.
Since that time, I've hiked all over the world and have had the opportunity to experience Mother Earth in all her spectacular environments. When I walk the trails, I never know what I'll see, and I love the surprises. Being in the outdoors not only fascinates me, but rejuvenates me and soothes my soul!
I enjoy observing different environments and photographing what I see; I especially love studying plants, flowers, trees, birds, and seashells. Combining my appreciation for flowers and seashells, I had a business for many years where I assembled floral arrangements created with seashells. To further express my love for Nature, I have created a book of some of my favorite photos accompanied by my own Haiku poetry.
Here are some examples:
