Found a real beauty growing along the side of our garden today.  Mid day, some of the pods were open and some closed.  Excited about saving some seeds.  Franklin Couty PA

A small note: Tragopogon pratensis is not native to PA, though it has naturalized widely. If you enjoy this look, there are some beautiful native alternatives with similar airy seed heads, such as Hieracium venosum. They support more local wildlife and can be a lovely addition to a native garden
