Barbarea vulgaris wintercress
An alien plant from Europe that grows in profusion in various man-disturbed habitats, but does not flourish in the forest. It tends to form colonies and sometimes may grow as singular plants. The plant has both basal and stem leaves, stem leaves narrow as they ascend the stem. Yellow flowers are in rounded clusters at the top of the stem.
Habitat & Range
Grows in moist fields and roadsides.
Present throughout the state.
