An invasive perennial from Europe, this plant brightens up the roadsides and waste grounds with its spikes of yellow snapdragon-like flowers.  It is rather prolific producing up to 30,000 winged seeds per year.

Common in fields, roadsides, shale barrens, and waste grounds.

Present throughout the state.
