Introduced from Europe, this plant is a common sight in urban landscapes as well as in old fields and roadsides. Its broad, oval leaves are ribbed and sit on trough-like stems. The inflorescence is long and tightly packed.

Roadsides, waste grounds, lawns.
Present in most of the state, except a few central counties.
