Impatiens

Impatiens jewelweed

Jewelweeds have juicy, many-branched stems that grow between 2 and 6 feet.  Blooms are produced throughout the summer and look like tiny jewels, thus the common name 'Jewelweed'.  Once the seedpods form, they will pop open when touched and shoot out seeds.
