Baptisia wild indigo

Wild indigos (or wild false indigos) are glabrous rhizomatous perennials with erect branched stems.  Leaves are trifoliate compound and turn blue-black when dry.  Flowers are in terminal racemes with 10 stamens. Fruits are distinctly stalked above the calyx.
