Plant grows in the wild/spontaneously

Introduced from Europe, white sweet-clover is abundant along roadsides and edges of fields.  It grows up to 8 feet tall with stems branching out.  Compound leaves have 3 leaflets like those of clover, but the inflorescence is long and tapering. 

Common along roadsides and in old fields.

Present throughout the state.
