This plant is very unusual in that it has a special floation device (unlike the other bladderworts) to keep the flowers above water.  The stem with flowers extends above the surface, held upright by a radiating ring of inflated branches.  It is only present in a few counties of the state - Sullivan, Luzerne, Monroe and Pike counties.

Found in lakes and ponds.

Present in Luzerne, Sullivan, Monroe & Pike counties.
