Thelypteris marsh fern

This genus contains 3 species in our state.  All marsh ferns have fronds that are cut into pinnae and then into lobes, with smooth margins.  Stipes are straw-colored and a little bit scaly, rhizomes slender and creeping.  The sori are round and attached to the veins on the undersides of the leaflets.
