Annual native that prefers to grow in disturbed areas.  It grows from 1 to 2 feet an blooms from late May to September.  There is a cluster of white flowers at the top of the flower stem.  Each flower has up to 70 white rays and  central yellow disk.  

The stems and leaves are hairy and grow straight out from the stem.

Grows in meadows, fields, and man-disturbed habitats.

Present throughout the state.

I think this is growing wild behind my azalea bush in my yard.....I noticed that it blooms every fall and bees go crazy over it....so I've been trying to leave it alone, even though it's out of control and looks like a lot of weeds....I'm thinking of maybe trying to get it growing in another spot

Posted By Admin: @Melinda Thinking you may have wrong ID - Erigeron annuus blooms mostly in summer with just few occasional bloomers in the fall. Your plants could be fall-blooming lookalike asters. You can post a picture to the forum or send it in email for ID.
