A low, spreading perennial herb growing from underground rhizomes. Flowers are pink, tinged with purple and a fringed middle petal. Fringed milkwort contains a component that was believed to increase milk production in dairy cattle.
Habitat & Range
Grows in rich rocky woods and wooded slopes.
Common except in the western part of the state.
